Folding means you discard your hand and give up any claim to the pot for that round. Once you fold, you sit out the rest of the hand and wait for the next deal to play again.

What is a pot in poker?

The pot is the total amount of chips or money bet by all players during a single hand. Whoever wins the hand takes the entire pot, and the dealer pushes it to that player's seat at the end of the round.

What are hole cards?

Hole cards are the private cards dealt face-down to each player at the start of a hand. In Texas Hold'em you get two hole cards; in Omaha you get four. Only you can see your hole cards and use them to form your final hand.
